Middlesex County, Jamaica

Middlesex County is central of the three counties into which Jamaica is divided.  Middlesex is bordered by Cornwall County to the west and Surrey County to the east. The county covers 5,041.9 km², roughly 1/3 of the Jamaica and holds no administrative significance. Jamaica's fourteen parishes are grouped into three counties. These counties were established in 1758 to facilitate the British County court system. The county town Spanish Town for Middlesex County. Popular tourist destinations such as Ocho Rios and Discovery Bay are located in Middlesex Country.
