KINGSTON, Jamaica – Olympic silver medalist Kishane Thompson ran a lifetime best and world leading 9.75 seconds (0.8m/s) to retain his men’s 100m title on Friday’s second day of the JAAA national senior championships at the National Stadium.\
Thompson lowered his previous best of 9.77 seconds set last year and equalled the fastest time ever run at the National Stadium by Yohan Blake in 2012.
Oblique Seville, who had appeared to be having some discomfort before the race, was second with 9.83 seconds and Ackeem Blake was third with a personal best 9.88 seconds.
Ryiem Forde ran a big personal best 9.98 seconds for fourth and was followed by Rohan Watson, 10.04 seconds; Kadrian Goldson, 10.07 seconds; Bouwahjgie-, 10.09 seconds; and Bryan Levell, 10.43 seconds.
