KINGSTON, Jamaica — Kingston College’s Despiro Wray won the Boys Under -20 shot put on Friday’s second day of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association’s (JAAA) National Junior Championships, throwing 19.39m, ahead of the rest of the field.
Wray, who dominated the event all year, had two other throws both over 18.60m as Munro College’s Devonte Edwards was second with 18.77m and another Kingston College thrower, Nkosana Johnson was third with 16.81m.
Calabar High’s Kamari Kennedy won the Under-18 title with 18.07m, over a metre better than his teammate Khaleel Henry who threw 16.98m with Sydney Pagon’s Dwight Fraser third with 16.69m.
