ST. ELIZABETH MEN ARRESTED FOR STEALING AVOCADOS
Lawmen attached to the Area 3 Agricultural Protection Branch (APB) have arrested two men for Praedial Larceny following an incident in Newton district in St. Elizabeth on Thursday, September 25.
Reports from Area 3 APB are that at about 10:30 a.m., the APB police conducted an operation in the community, after receiving a report of the men who were seen picking avocados from a property, belonging to a businessman, and loading them into a bag.
The lawmen visited the area, but the men were not seen. The search was extended and the men found in the area. They later confessed to the crime. The bag of avocados was retrieved and the men brought in custody to answer to the charge.
Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
