MAN FEATURED ON WANTED WEDNESDAYS FOR 2016 MURDER NOW IN POLICE CUSTODY

One of St. Ann’s most wanted, who was named on Wanted Wednesdays, has been charged with murder.

He is 41-year-old Dwayne Christie, otherwise called ‘Kojack’, a construction worker of Jack’s Hill in St. Andrew. Christie, who was named on the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Wanted Wednesdays feature, turned himself in to the police on Sunday, September 21, 2025; he was in the presence of his attorney.

Christie has been charged with Murder, Illegal Possession of Firearm, and Illegal Possession of Ammunition.

Investigators charged Christie in connection with the shooting murder of Ronald Gayle in Davis Town, Cascade, in the parish on Friday, September 16, 2016. The allegations are that Christie and Gayle were at a shop in Davis Town when an argument developed between them. The argument escalated into a physical altercation. It is alleged that Christie left the area but later returned with a firearm, which he used to shoot Gayle, killing him.

On Monday, September 22, Christie was formally charged after an interview.

His court date is being finalised.
