Trelawny Farmers Charged with Assault After Squabble

TRELAWNY FARMERS CHARGED WITH ASSAULT AFTER SQUABBLE

Two farmers of St. Vincent district, Trelawny, were slapped with separate charges following an altercation in their community on Sunday, September 21.

Fifty-five-year-old Vinroy Angel has been charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm while 25-year-old Lemar Williams was charged with Assault at Common Law.
Reports from the Ulster Spring Police are that at about 10:30 a.m., Williams brought a machete to Angel’s home and swung it at him. Angel moved to escape harm, then armed himself with a piece of board and struck Williams with it, resulting in pain, swelling and bruising.

After the squabble, both men made reports to the police and following an investigation, both men were charged.

Angel and Williams are scheduled to appear in the Ulster Spring Parish Court on Thursday,October 16.
