ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A loan officer has been charged with embezzlement after allegedly collecting loan payments from a client over several months without depositing them into her loan account.

Charged is 41-year-old Kimberley Ricketts of 3 North, Greater Portmore in St Catherine.

It is alleged that between Wednesday, March 5 and Thursday, June 19, Ricketts had been collecting loan payments from a client over the course of several months without depositing them to her loan account.

After paying a total of $171,000 to Ricketts, the complainant reportedly became suspicious due to inconsistencies and made a report to the police.
