KINGSTON, Jamaica – American Lynna Irby-Jackson ran a big season’s best 50.23 seconds to win the women’s 400m at the Racers Grand Prix at the National Stadium in Kingston on Saturday.
The Olympic Games and World Championships relay gold medalist held off Jamaica’s Stacey-Ann Williams as she went under her previous season’s best 50.96 seconds set in early May in Nashville, Tennessee.
Stacey-Ann Williams, who is now based in the USA, was second in 50.56 seconds with Barbados’ Jamaica-based Sada Williams third in 51.65 seconds.
