Racers Grand Prix: Christopher Bailey takes men’s 400m

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Christopher Bailey is making it a habit of winning in Jamaica as the American took the men’s 400m at the Racers Grand Prix in an impressive 44.74 seconds at the National Stadium in Kingston on Saturday.

Bailey had won the men’s 400m at the first Grand Slam event held in Kingston in early April and was in control on Saturday, coming off the final curve first, and won easily.

Twenty year-old Jamaican Delano Kennedy was second in a personal best 45.22 seconds, beating his previous best 45.27 seconds set two years ago.

American Elija Godwin was third in a season’s best 45.43 seconds.

Jeremy Bembridge won the men’s B race with a season’s best 46.08 seconds, ahead of Wendell Miller of the Bahamas- 46.55 seconds and Trinidad’s Rishane Symister-47.51 seconds.
