Sanchez.
Lovers’ rock kingpin Sanchez continues to promote his latest album Jamdown.
Officially released in April by VPAL Music, it is produced by Kenneth Thompson for Kenergi Music.
It features a total of 10 reggae tracks, with all songs on this record either penned or co-written by Thompson.
Jamdown marks Sanchez’s first full-length studio project since 2011’s Love You More, a collaboration with Donovan Germain for Penthouse Records.
True to his roots, Sanchez predominantly explores the lovers’ rock genre throughout this album; however, he introduces diversity with two tracks that deviate from romantic themes — the title track Jamdown and track #8 Struggle, both of which address socially conscious issues.
In terms of creative contributions, Sanchez co-wrote several songs with Kenneth Thompson, namely Hot Girl, Disloyalty, and the title track Jamdown.
Instrumentalist Paul Gauntlett contributed significantly by playing most of the instruments, while Wayne Armond of Chalice arranged them. Armond also provided the harmonies for the title track. Harmonies for the other tracks were performed by Tafina Wilson, and the project was mixed and mastered by Doug Flanigon (six tracks) and the Heavy Beat Crew (four tracks).
Jamdown is readily available for download on various platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Pandora, Tidal, Amazon Music, and all other digital music stores where reggae music is sold.
