Nordia Mothersille aims for Greatness

Recording artiste Nordia Mothersille has reached another level in career following rave feedback for her latest single Greatness (I Am).

The Notnice Records production was released on May 9, and already caught the attention of retired sprint legend Usain Bolt, who endorsed it on his social media pages.

“The inspiration behind the track came from Jah Vinci suggesting I write an empowering song, and this was my attempt. I wanted the lyrics to empower me as well as the listeners,” she told the Jamaica Observer.

The accompanying music video currently has approximately 111,000 views on YouTube.

Mothersille, who hails from St Mary, was last year recognised as a Grammy Award-winning songwriter for her role as co-writer on the song Robbed, which was part of the Grammy-winning album Colors Of Royal by Julian Marley and Alexx Antaeus.

She released her EP, Broken Child, in 2024.

For her latest track — which she performed live for the first time at the Wray & Nephew Jamaica Premier League Super Finals on May 23 – the vision for its reception has been unfolding.

“The feedback has been great so far, just like the name of the song [Greatness] I hoped it would feel like a song you’d sing and believe the lyrics. Speaking life over yourself creates a vibe,” she said.

Adding that her professional career over the last five years has been going well, Mothersille has sights set on even bigger dreams.

“I’d love to collab with Adele; I don’t think she does collabs though. I just love her,” she shared. “I have made shows coming up. In the meantime, I’m still just working and writing as much as possible.”
