HANOVER, Jamaica — A man who was reported missing on Wednesday, May 7 was fatally shot during a police confrontation at Cauldwell, Kingsvale in Hanover at about 11:55 pm a day later.
He is 27-year-old Christopher Williams of Strathbogie district, Savanna-la-Mar in Westmoreland, who had been reported missing.
Reports from the police are that about 11:55 pm on Thursday, during a confrontation with lawmen, two men were fatally shot and one Browning with a magazine containing two 9mm cartridges and one Smith and Wesson with a magazine containing seven .45 rounds of ammunition were seized.
One of the deceased was later identified as Williams.
The incident was reported to the Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (IPROB) and the Independent Commission of Investigations (Indecom).
