Curfew imposed in sections of Iron River district, Stony Hill, St Andrew

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of the Iron River district, Stony Hill, St Andrew.

The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Friday, October 17, and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 19.

The boundaries of the curfew are:

North: From the intersection of Mount Airy Road and the entrance of Iron River to the Iron River Square, running along an imaginary line

East: From the Iron River Square to the Old Anglican Church of Refuge

South: From the Old Anglican Church of Refuge to the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road and Mount Airy Road

West: From the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road and the Mount Airy Road to the intersection of Mount Airy Road and the entrance of Iron River

During the hours of the curfew, people within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorsised by the ground commander.
