When airline pilots captains Brenton Borrows and Peter Henry decided that they wanted to close the summer in fine style, the idea for B&H Beach Party was born.
The event took over Marley Beach in Boscobel, St Mary, a few Saturdays ago, and what a success it was.
Scores of partygoers, including a stylish mix of professionals, tastemakers, and notable personalities from both Jamaica and overseas partied to the musical musings of DJ Mixmaster Marvin and DJ Courtney.
“The B&H Beach Party Experience is designed for those who value premium music, food, and atmosphere in a sophisticated seaside setting,” Henry told the Jamaica Observer. “This event was born from the vision of myself and Brenton because we wanted to introduce something fresh, exclusive, and thoughtfully curated — from the music and food to the guest list itself. The idea was to create an event that stood apart on Jamaica’s entertainment scene and delivered a truly elevated experience. We chose to launch in the summer because beach plus summer equals the perfect vibe. The goal was simple: To create what our guests now call “summer’s sweetest escape”.
As patrons descended upon the Marley Beach venue, the pulsating sounds of house music, disco, soca, dancehall gems from the 1990s, electronic dance music, alternative, hip hop, Afrobeats, and reggaeton did the trick in keeping them entertained.
Said Borrows: “The vibe was electric and vibrant. It wasn’t just a party; it was freedom by the sea. The energy on the beach was nonstop, with patrons celebrating freely in an atmosphere that was both comfortable and elevated. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to deliver a sense of escape and exclusivity, making the B&H Beach Party Experience unforgettable.”
Henry spoke about the event’s target demographic.
“Our target audience is professionals, tastemakers, movers and shakers, and the influential. These are guests who are discerning and intentional about the experiences they choose. They may not go out frequently, but when they do, they seek something exclusive, elevated, and memorable,” he said.
On board for the all-inclusive event were Sperone Moscato from Select Brands, that welcomed guests with branded merchandise, as well as OP Bellini and Mimosa drinks upon entry, with a wide variety of premium liquor being poured, setting the tone for memorable entertainment.
Attendees indulged in a wide selection of culinary offerings, with Caribbean Producers Jamaica (CPJ) elevating the menu through its seafood sponsorship. Premium liquor flowed throughout the night, complemented by refreshing Pure Country juices, the energising boost of Red Bull, and a fine selection of wines provided by AU Trading, and the crisp hydration of FYC Water by FESCO.
Borrows shared that the second staging, dubbed the Christmas edition, is scheduled for December 27 at the same venue.
“The Christmas Edition of the B&H Beach Party Experience will take place on Saturday, December 27. This edition will be our ultra-luxe affair, elevating the B&H experience to cruising altitude in true style. The staging, called The B&H Flight Experience, will bring new creative elements inspired by the elegance of business-class travel.”
