‘Come Over’ by Jorja Smith and Popcaan is gold in the UK

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Come Over, a 2020 collaboration by British-Jamaican singer Jorja Smith and Popcaan, was recently certified gold for sales and streaming equivalent of 400,000 units in the United Kingdom.

The certification was issued by the British Phonographic Industry last Friday,

Smith, whose father is Jamaican and mother is British, was born in 1997.

Come Over peaked at #35 on the UK Singles chart and got as far as #27 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.

Popcaan has maintained a high profile in the UK over the years.

This is the Unruly deejay’s second BPI-certified gold single in the UK.

I Know There’s Gonna Be Good Times by Jamie XXX and Popcaan featuring Young Thug, was previously certified gold in the UK.
