Xavier Gilbert is set to leave Arnett Gardens to take over head coaching duties at Montego Bay United in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL).

A senior member of Montego Bay’s management team confirmed with Observer Online on Sunday that the experienced Gilbert will be officially announced on Monday to replace Paul ‘Tegat’ Davis as the head coach.

It will be the second time Gilbert will replace Davis in a head coaching role as he replaced the former national striker when he was named head coach of the ‘Junglists’ in August 2023.

Gilbert, who is also an assistant coach with the national senior women’s team, guided Arnett Gardens to back-to-back third place finishes in the JPL.
