ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Fourteen Hampton students are being treated at hospital following a crash on the Holland Bamboo main road on Monday morning.
Principal of Hampton School in St Elizabeth, Mahvell Charlton Brown, provided an update a short while ago to parents.
“A bus transporting students on the Middle Quarters to Hampton route was involved in an accident this morning, in Holland Bamboo Avenue,” she said in a statement.
“Staff members of Hampton School have been dispatched to the site, and the 14 ladies of Hampton School who were passengers have been accounted for and have received attention at the Black River Hospital,” she added.
The principal said “arrangements have been effected to ensure that students among the batch who are scheduled for external examinations – and are able to undertake same – will be able to do so”.
