KINGSTON, Jamaica — Arnett Gardens came from behind to beat Waterhouse 2-1 at Drewsland Stadium on Monday, clinching their third straight win and moving up to fifth place in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL).
It was the second straight game at home that Waterhouse lost, falling into eighth place in the league on six points.
In the first game of the double header, a week after scoring their first JPL goal, Spanish Town Police FC got their first point after holding Chapelton Maroons 0-0.
In the feature game, Javane Bryan gave Waterhouse the lead in the 53rd minute with a long range strike that flew low and hard into the left hand corner of the Arnett Gardens goal with goalkeeper Anthony Bennett stranded at the other end.
Arnett Gardens responded just two minutes later when Roderick Granville stroked home a ball from close range.
Shai Smith, who came off the bench in the 62nd minute to replace Granville, scored the winner in the 85th minute, set up with a pinpoint pass from Fabian Reid.
