Unstable weather to linger across Jamaica

September 20, 2025

The Meteorological Service of Jamaica (Met Service) says a slow-moving tropical wave just west of the island, along with a trough across the western Caribbean, will continue to influence weather conditions.

While the tropical wave is gradually moving away, showers and thunderstorms, are expected across most parishes Saturday afternoon and evening.

Lingering thunderstorms are likely along coastal areas on Saturday night, according to the Met Service.

The outlook for Sunday through Tuesday includes scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms, particularly across northern, central, and western parishes.
