St Andrew man wanted for murder surrenders to police

Dwayne Christie featured on the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s (JCF) Wanted Wednesdays

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man who was featured on the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s (JCF) Wanted Wednesdays has been charged with murder after surrendering himself to the police.

He is 41-year-old Dwayne Christie, also known as “Kojack” or “Shack” of Cashew Ridge, Jacks Hill in St Andrew.

Christie, a construction worker, has been charged with the 2016 murder of Ronald Gayle, also called “Spanner”, which took place in Cascade, St Ann.

Reports are that both men were at a shop in Davis Town, Cascade, when they got into an altercation.

The accused allegedly left, came back with a firearm and shot the now deceased.

Christie surrendered in the presence of his attorney.
