Farmer charged for stabbing a woman

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 27-year-old farmer from Falmouth, Trelawny, identified as Neil Ferril, has been charged with wounding with intent following a stabbing incident in Port Maria, St Mary, on Monday, February 10.

According to the Port Maria police, around 8:00 pm a woman was walking along a roadway when another woman confronted her, sparking an argument. The confrontation escalated into a fight, during which Ferril allegedly intervened and stabbed one of the women several times with a knife.

The injured woman was taken to hospital, treated, and later released.

Following investigations, Ferril was arrested in Trelawny on Monday, September 15, and transported to St Mary where he was formally charged.

Preparations are currently being made for his court appearance.
