KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) says power supply has now been restored to all of its customers who were affected by outages caused by a generation shortfall earlier on Tuesday.
“With the resolution of one of the multiple issues impacting Independent Power Producers’ (IPPs) generation availability, JPS was able to restore power to customers by 1:45 pm.
The technical issue at the Exelerate Energy LNG facility was resolved as committed, enabling the restoration of normalcy,” the company said, thanking customers for their patience and understanding.
Several power outages, including one caused by downed poles and another caused by technical issues, were reported on Tuesday.
