KINGSTON, Jamaica — The swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected Members of Parliament and senators is set for Thursday, September 18.
The ceremony will follow Prime Minister-elect Dr Andrew Holness’ own ceremony set for Tuesday at 4:00 pm at Gordon House. The swearing-in of ministers, who may be chosen by Holness from the upper or lower house of Parliament, will also precede Thursday’s ceremony.

Holness led the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) to a historic third term in office on September 3.
The JLP secured 35 seats to the People’s National Party’s (PNP’s) 28 during the general elections and will form the next parliament.
