KINGSTON, Jamaica – Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) operator PAC Kingston Airport Limited (PACKAL) says operations at NMIA will be suspended from 7:00 pm Tuesday until 4:00 am on Wednesday to facilitate electrical infrastructure upgrade at the facility.

In a news release, the airport operator noted that critical safety and security systems will remain operational during the period, adding that there are no flights scheduled during the upgrade window, and so, passenger travel will not be impacted.

“However, travellers are advised to verify flight schedules with their respective airlines for any changes to flights outside this upgrade window,” the release stated.

PACKAL noted that the scheduled upgrade is part of its ongoing commitment to build a premier gateway while continuing to ensure safe and reliable airport operations.
