Ethan Pinnock returns for Gold Cup game against Guatemala

KINGSTON, Jamaica —Head coach Steve McClaren has made two changes, both defensive, to the Jamaica team that will face Guatemala in their opening Concacaf Gold Cup game at Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles on Monday.

Brentford FC’s defender, Ethan Pinnock and Richard King of Cavalier SC come into the starting team after they were left out in last week’s 3-0 win over Guatemala in a World Cup qualifying game played at the National Stadium in Kingston.

Pinnock was not part of the game day squad and came in for Isaac Hayden, but King was a first-half substitute to replace Mason Holgate, who appeared to have picked up an injury.

Warner Brown, who scored a brace against Guatemala last week, retains his place alongside Renaldo Cephas and Demarai Gray.

West Ham United striker Michail Antonio, who was involved in a horrific accident during the past English Premier League season, was named on the bench.

Starting team:

Andre Blake, Richard King, Joel Latibeaudiere, Amari’i Bell, Ethan Pinnock, Leon Bailey, Demarai Gray, Warner Brown, Damion Lowe, Jonathan Russell, Renaldo Cephas.
