Jamaican winger Leon Bailey is set to depart Aston Villa to Saudi Arabian Pro League club Neom SC, according to UK media reports.

Bailey joined Villa from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2021 for some £27 million, but has struggled for consistency during his time with the Villans.

He has appeared in 146 games for the club, scoring 22 goals and providing 23 assists across all competitions.

After a breakout season last year, when he scored 10 goals and recorded nine assists in the premiership, his formed dip this past season and found himself out of favour with coach Unai Emery after January transfer signings including Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio.

According to the UK Sun newspaper, Saudi Pro League newcomer Neom made an offer worth around £25 million for Bailey and has already agreed to personal terms with the 27-year-old winger that would see him earn £10m per year.

The move is expected to be finalised in coming weeks, the newspaper said.
