CVM marketing head Andrew Brown departs

CVM TV’s head of marketing, Andrew Brown has departed the media company after three years in the role, closing a chapter marked by bold brand transformation and renewed audience engagement.

Brown joined CVM in 2022 after its acquisition by VertiCast Media and was instrumental in repositioning the brand within Jamaica’s media landscape.

He led the network’s See It Happen campaign—replacing the long-standing tagline Looking In, Looking Out, Looking Even Better. The campaign earned the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce’s award for Marketing Excellence in 2024.

He also played a key role in refreshing CVM’s on-air and digital identity—supporting the relaunch of CVM News alongside the station’s trusted team of Neika Lewis, Kerlyn Brown, Jordan Forte, and Andre Jebbison. He also contributed to the rebrand of the Sunrise Morning Show, which introduced a dynamic new lineup featuring Miss Kitty, Dennis Brooks, Tami Chin Mitchell, Ity Ellis, Yendi Phillips, and TK Dawkins. The revitalised programme quickly became a cornerstone of CVM’s efforts to engage a broader and more diverse audience.

“CVM has always been an iconic brand, but like many legacy platforms, it needed a reset,” Brown said. “I’m proud of the team we built and the way we pushed to modernise how the brand shows up—louder, sharper, more relevant—without losing its heart. I’m grateful to have played a part in that chapter.”

He expressed gratitude to his team and those who supported the journey, including executives Oliver McIntosh, Carlo Redwood, Barbie Mudahy, Shaun Birch, Oneil McCalla, Kemisha Anderson, Daniell Brown, Mikayla Gayle, Leopold Smith, Natalie Campbell, and Zaine Redwood.

“Andrew came with a clear creative vision and a high-performance mindset that helped reposition CVM in a evolving media landscape,” said Carlo Redwood, chief commercial officer at CVM. “His ability to align brand with commercial strategy has had a lasting impact and we’re grateful for his energy and leadership.”

Prior to joining CVM, Brown held regional marketing and commercial roles at Kellogg’s in Washington, DC; Adecco at Google in New York; and at Digicel, Trend Media, and Loop News in Jamaica. He built a reputation for blending creative vision with commercial impact across both traditional and digital platforms.

While his next move has not been formally announced, Brown is expected to continue his work through his consultancy, Screenshot Interactive, and as a director at Chilitos Jamexican.
