ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Member of Parliament for St Catherine East Central, Alando Terrelonge, has described the tragic outcome of the search for eight-year-old Navardo Blackburn as a “dire situation”.
“The situation is just very, very dire. We found the body of eight-year-old Navardo. They smelt something coming from the motor vehicle. Some persons thought maybe it was a dog and then someone said ‘no, call the police,” Terrelonge told Observer Online.
Navardo Blackburn, who was autistic, was last seen at a playfield in Gregory Park, St Catherine on Saturday afternoon.
Terrelonge said Blackburn’s mother is completely devastated by the news.
“Prudence is completely traumatised by it…devastated. She was really hoping just moments before that that her son would have been returned to her so that she could just love him and hug him and kiss him,” he said.
