ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – The St Catherine South police say they cannot confirm that a body found in the division Saturday afternoon is that of missing University of Technology student, Anisa Dilworth. The body, which is in an advanced state of decomposition, was found in Portmore.
Dilworth 20, reportedly went missing on Tuesday, May 6, and has not been seen since.
An inDrive taxi operator has since been detained and is being questioned in connection with the student’s disappearance.
The commanding officer for St Catherine South, Superintendent Leighton Grey told Observer Online that he could not confirm that the body the police found was that of Dilworth.
Grey said the body found was small in stature and was unlikely to be that of the missing student.
The police are still trying to identify the body.
More to come.
