Ackee Village is a farmers' market in Portmore, St Catherine Parish, Jamaica.
This very small unique market is situated south of the Rio Cobre, where Dyke Road and Municipal Blvd meet at the roundabout/rotary.
The name "Ackee Village" came into existence because of the always availability of the ackee fruit throughout the season at this location. Many motorists would detour to purchase ackee and other fruits.
Breadfruit is also another popular fruit in the village, which are mostly sold roasted (Roast Breadfruit).
Ackee is Jamaica's National Fruit.
