KINGSTON, Jamaica—Students and staff at The University of the West Indies, Mona, now have access to a fresh and healthier dining option with the official opening of Bowl & Spoon on campus.

“We wanted to create a space where eating well is simple, enjoyable, and accessible,” said PJ Wright, director of Bowl & Spoon. “The idea is that no one on campus should have to choose between
convenience and health.”

Wright further noted that the restaurant is designed to address a long-standing challenge of limited healthy options during the busy school day.

“Many students and staff often report skipping meals or settling for fast food due to long lines or lack of variety. Early feedback has already been positive, with students describing the meals as quick, filling, and nourishing, while staff note the balance of convenience, freshness, and quality,” he said.

The UWI Mona campus is the first of three new Bowl & Spoon locations being rolled out. The next will open in New Kingston on Grenada Crescent, with a third to follow shortly after.

The company said it is committed to continuously improving the dining experience of students and staff on campus and will introduce two key initiatives:

* Loyalty programme — designed to reward frequent diners with perks and exclusive benefits.

* On-campus delivery — a first-of-its-kind service that will bring meals directly to residences, classrooms, offices, and study areas.
