KINGSTOWN, St Vincent (CMC) – Police in St Vincent and the Grenadines are on the island of Mustique, conducting an investigation after 35 packages of cocaine weighing 35kgs and an object believed to be a remnant of a grenade were found on the island on Tuesday.

Information from the private island, which is famous internationally as the playground of the world’s richest, including Hollywood stars and British Royals, has been limited.

However, the Caribbean Media  Corporation (CMC) has been reliably informed that police had dispatched explosive experts to the island.

Sources told  CMC that no arrests had been made and that the investigation is continuing.

The police have not issued a statement on the matter.
