Jamaica will have three representatives in Sunday’s final of the women’s 100m at the Tokyo World Athletics Championships.
Five-time gold medallist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will get to end her brilliant career on the biggest stage and will be joined by national champion Tina Clayton and Shericka Jackson, all three placing second in their semi-final races.
Fraser-Pryce ran 11.00 seconds (0.1m/s) behind Olympic Games gold medallist Julien Alfred who won with 10.93 seconds.
Clayton was second fastest in the semi-final with her 10.90 seconds (0.2m/s), beaten by world leader Mellisa Jefferson-Wooden who clocked 10.73 seconds.
Jackson recorded 10.97 seconds behind Marie-Josee TaLou-Smith of the Ivory Coast who ran 10.94 seconds.
Defending champion Sha’Carri Richardson of the USA and Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith also advanced on time.
