48-hour curfew imposed in St Andrew South

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in the St Andrew South police division. The curfew began at midnight on Saturday and will remain in effect until midnight on Monday.

The curfew boundaries are as follows:

East: From an imaginary line at Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield Avenue travelling southerly to East Avenue intersecting at Marcus Garvey Drive.

South: From an imaginary line from the coastline at Marcus Garvey Drive in the vicinity of East Avenue to Duhaney River.

West: From an imaginary line from the Duhaney River to the Kingston Harbour.

North: From an imaginary line from the Happy Grove community continue onto Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield Avenue intersection following the divisional boundary.

During the hours of the curfew, all persons within its boundaries are required to remain within their premises, unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
