ZJ Chrome celebrates silver certification of Christopher Martin’s ‘Paper Loving’

In 2011 when music producer and radio jock ZJ Chrome released the Cardiac Bass rhythm project, little did he know that 14 years later, one of the songs, Paper Loving by Christopher Martin would earn a certification by the British Phonographic Industry.

On Friday, Paper Loving was certified silver for sales and streaming equivalent of 200,000 units. This comes two years after Martin earned a gold certification in Germany for the song To The Top featuring German reggae artiste Gentleman.

In an interview with Observer Online on Friday, ZJ Chrome shared his excitement about the certification.

“I mean, we already knew the song was great. This is a big win for reggae, because reggae has been doing its thing and its definitely one of the greatest things to happen to music,” said ZJ Chrome.

Paper Loving was recorded at the Big Yard Studio at 23 Westminister Road in Kingston.

ZJ Chrome spoke about working with Martin, the 2005 winner of the Digicel Rising Stars talent series.

“Chris is a great artiste and we know this from his days on Rising Stars. Working with him was quite easy and 99 per cent of the times we produce hits,” ZJ Chrome shared.

Among their previous hit collaborations is the popular, Cheaters Prayer.

The Cardiac Bass rhythm project also featured Ce’Cile’s When You’re Gone, Vybz Kartel’s She Holding On, Before I Leave by Jah Cure, Hold Her in My Arms by I-Octane and Always There by Bugle.

ZJ Chrome hinted at new music with Martin.

“We are working on some stuff right now,” he said.
