The National Health Fund (NHF) says it has achieved another milestone in its commitment to service excellence, with the Linstead and Santa Cruz Drug Serv Pharmacies earning ISO 9001:2015 certification for their pharmaceutical dispensing processes.
The additions bring the total number of NHF locations holding certificates of conformity for ISO 9001:2015 to 18, the NHF said in a release.
According to NHF Chief Executive Officer, Everton Anderson, “Expanding ISO certification is a proud moment for the NHF and a clear signal of our commitment to quality and continuous improvement in our drive to deliver efficient and people-centered care, while aligning with international standards.”
This achievement, he added, is crucial to the NHF as it ensures that its systems, processes, and services meet global benchmarks.
“In a health-focused organisation like ours, where the focus is on preserving lives and well-being, maintaining high standards is essential,” Anderson said.
The National Certification Body of Jamaica (NCBJ) officially presented the certificate of conformity to ISO 9001:2015 to the NHF in May 2025. The additional locations, including pharmaceutical warehouses, NHFCard Card Centre help desks, the head office and 10 other Drug Serv locations, achieved recertification.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard for quality management systems (QMS) that provides a framework which guides organisations towards consistently meeting customer and regulatory requirements and continuously improving their processes and performance.
The NHF said it will continue to adhere to its quality policy of providing services of the highest possible standards that meet customer requirements, and enhance customer satisfaction through continual improvement of our processes across corporate offices, warehouses and pharmacies.
