The river flows under the playground and reemerges to flow out through Brook Green ( the housing scheme behind the school)
The debating team has done a tremendous job over the years, entering several competitions.
Ocho Rios High School Football’s DaCosta Cup team went as far as the quarter finals and it is the first school from St Ann to enter the FLOW Super Cup.
The girls’ football team is also doing well by continuing its winning streak.
The first Key Club to be chartered in Jamaica was the then Key Club of Ocho Rios Junior Secondary School, which was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Ocho Rios on September 21, 1970.
The principal’s Honour Roll for academic excellence has had a positive effect on the performance of the students. Thirty-three students are currently listed on it.
