⭐ Brief History
The Town located on the south east of the Cockpit Country and has a relatively humid and cool climate. Albert Town is famed for its annual Yam Festival.

Albert Town was carved out of the Freemans Hall property and was originally called "Santa Hill" (colloquially "SanSan" after the large number of Santa Maria growing in the area. The Santa Maria is a tree species commonly used as lumber and the scientific name is "Calophyllum calaba".

In the mid nineteenth century the town was rename after Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria.
