Gordon Town Road Landslide, Driving to Papine in Kingston 6, St Andrew, Jamaica (Caribbean).
As heavy rains from Tropical Depression Eta continues to pelt the island, the Gordon Town Road in East Rural St Andrew has been blocked by landslides.
This comes following another week of roadways, across eastern parishes, being affected by extensive flooding and landslides.
The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) has issued an advisory warning pedestrians and motorists not to use the Gordon Town Main Road in the vicinity of Industry Village, also called “John Crow Tavern”.
National Works Agency (NWA) Workers and contractors are busy trying to clear an “unusual” landslide which blocked the Gordon Town main road, leaving hundreds of rural St Andrew residents stranded.
